TBP has a unique structure for our Board of Directors: each Board member is a former staff member who has chosen to remain involved with the organization, lending their hands-on experience from working in the field during their time as an undergraduate. The Board's mission is to form an intellectual bridge to transfer the knowledge from their experiences to those who follow in their footsteps in the form of trusted guidance and advice. The Board strives to ensure TBP’s sustainability, oversee its long-term trajectory, and ensure that those experiencing homelessness are being served effectively. By continuously focusing on the core purpose of making homelessness rare and brief, the Board guides TBP’s team towards becoming better executors of TBP's mission of easing the burden of homelessness, one backpack at a time.
